I love this journal... I just wish she had kept one for their 50+ years of marriage.Jacquie Wallacehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00563035501430986577noreply@blogger.comBlogger77125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568119689366087360.post-47525952791499163641977-09-11T18:42:00.000-07:002008-07-18T18:43:02.279-07:00Sunday, September 11, 1977We all went to 10:00 AM Mass. We had coffee and visited a while. We went down (Rosemary and I and some of the kids) to Vera's, where they all took showers. Called Mom and a couple of other people. Fixed "Chinese Pie" and Dick and Rosemary and kids ate with us.Jacquiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07306641980039598264noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568119689366087360.post-8212433541865037231977-09-07T18:34:00.000-07:002008-07-18T18:37:19.816-07:00Wednesday, September 7, 1977The drill men started working about 9:00 AM again and struck water about 10:00 AM. They drilled another sixty feet for insurance. The well puts out about 30 gallons per minute. I finally really heard a truck coming up the hill and it was Dick about 11:00 tonight. We hopped in the VW and went down to the highway and directed everyone in and we had coffee, etc.Jacquiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07306641980039598264noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568119689366087360.post-71256141697086624731977-09-06T18:32:00.000-07:002008-07-18T18:34:15.630-07:00Tuesday, September 6, 1977The men arrived and started drilling about 9:00 AM. I went to town and did the wash and got my groceries. When I got back, there was still no word from Dick and Rosemary and the men were still drilling. They kept on till 7:00 PM and still no water. I keep imagining that I hear trucks coming up the hill, but still no Dick and Rosemary.Jacquiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07306641980039598264noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568119689366087360.post-47819417480439828481977-09-05T18:29:00.000-07:002008-07-18T18:32:24.472-07:00Monday, September 5, 1977John and I drove around in the woods and went down to the spring, which I had never seen. I planned to go to Harrison, but never made it. Some people - friends of Dick and Rosemary, came by looking for them, then Joe and Linda and their kids came over. Then we were surprised - Mr. King, the well man, and his crew came over and started on the well. When they left and Joe and Linda left, Vera came over. Still no sign of Dick and Rosemary. Had a thunderstorm and nice rain today.Jacquiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07306641980039598264noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568119689366087360.post-36668299460156781651977-09-04T18:28:00.000-07:002008-07-18T18:29:38.745-07:00Sunday, September 4, 1977We went to 10:30 AM Mass.
